Got Gear Motorsports Joins The Compound
Jetwerx USA Inc is proud to announce that Got Gear Motorsports has joined forces at the Jetwerx compound to create the very popular Mini Thunder series. The Got Gear Motorsports Mini Thunder series is set to begin operation with Open practices starting Friday, Oct. 4th, 2013. The series is very similar to the Little Rascal series from years past.
“Mini Thunder is a safe, organized and controlled environment of amateur racing with it’s aim to provide knowledge and skills about motocross to people of all ages.
It was established in 2003 as a pit bike series and later grew to what it is today. What we realized is there was nowhere for young riders to learn how to race properly in a safe manner. So we redesigned our pit bike series into what we refer to as a “stepping stone” into the world of racing motocross. Now Mini Thunder is recognized as one of the largest young rider development series in Canada.” says Justin Thompson, Mini Thunder -Director of Operations
“We at Got Gear Motorsports believe in Jetwerx to produce a great series as they have in both there AXTOUR Championship and Mini Thunder Canada series. We are proud to be a title sponsor of the series and help begin the path of tomorrow’s motocross and supercross stars.” says Scott Hume, Got Gear Motorsports - CEO
“With plans to grow the series into a year round operation the Jetwerx crew has already laid the ground work to make the transition of the canadian format into a suitable Mississippi race series for the development of youth and beginners. With this being said the compound is a very unique place and has the options to add the Thundercross series latter on down the road with a few big bike classes.” says Thompson
The race series will start approximately mid October with practice for the series starting
Oct 4th,2013. The series will run on friday nights appose to the tuesday night program that the canadian operation uses. This will allow the races to develop over the next year to the point where it is just like a soccer or baseball game that participants and families attend on a week night. So that the series and the facility does not harm rider turnout at other race series.
Jetwerx USA Inc is a global leader in both track construction and promotion and looks forward to a longterm relationship with the Got Gear Motorsports now and into the future.
